Welcome to Week 7! It's hard to believe we only have one more week to go. This week we're going to be looking at what makes up a quality reference website; whether it be for your next research paper or used on-site at your next job. Maybe you've told your grandma this already this week, but "just because it's on Facebook, doesn't mean it's true!" And if it's authored on Facebook, don't include it in your next research paper. After this week, my hope is that you and your classmates can discuss and distinguish the differences between good and bad reference websites. Here's how things are going to go: First, review the following article to help you identifying what makes a good reference, along with some practical tips: https://www.thoughtco.com/gauging-website-reliability-2073838 Next, complete your initial post: Find and copy/paste a website you consider a good reference site for your field(nursing). Note, in paragraph form, why this site should be accepted as a source in a research paper. Provide specifics from the site. Find and copy/paste a website you consider a poor reference site for your field (nursing). Note, in paragraph form, why this site should NOT be accepted as a source in a research paper. List specifics from the site. Don't use Wikipedia... that's too easy. Your initial post is due the Thursday of this week by 11:59 pm.
