Directions After gathering at least FIVE reputable sources, write an Annotated Bibliography. 1. Provide a citation (Works Cited entry) for each source in MLA format, and arrange the citations alphabetically (by author's last name) on the page. 2. Underneath each citation, write a few sentences that sum up the source (What does it cover?) and explain why you are using it ( What will it add to your paper)? Tips READ the source before committing to using it. Make sure that you understand it and that it belongs in your paper. Remember, library databases will generate citations for you. Look for a cite or a citation button, and make sure MLA is selected. Then, just copy and paste the citation you are given.
